Finally finished!Kidagakash "Kida" Nedakh and Vincenzo "Vinny" Santorini from Disney's Atlantis: The Lost Empire.
Atlantis is a very underrated movie in my opinion. I love everything about it: the story, the art style, the soundtrack and all the characters ( Vinny is one of the funniest Disney characters ever). Definitely one of my favorite Disney movies.

I agree: "Atlantis" is an underrated and, in my opinion (and I pray I'm wrong) *underappreciated* Disney animated film. I went to see it when it was in theaters because I thought it looked interesting, and it didn't disappoint me. (It didn't hurt that some of my favorites TV and movie actors were among the voice cast: "Back to the Future's" Michael J. Fox; TV "Maverick" James Garner; Don Novello ("Father Guido Sarducci" from "Saturday Night Live") as "Vinny"; "Toy Story's" Jim Varney (the voice of "Slinky Dog") as "Cookie"; and, of course, the "Star Trek" Collective Universe's original (and, in my opinion, *definitive*) "Spock", the late Leonard Nimoy... among others.Β
Great recreations of the characters and the environment!Β
Oh man: how did I not get this for so long... Is the name of James Garner's character "Commander Lyle Tiberius Rourke" a play on the name "*Captain James* Tiberius *Kirk*"? (Think about it: the actor who portrayed "Spock" over the past fifty years was part of the voice cast; and another "Atlantis" castmember, David Ogden Stiers -- the voice of "Cogsworth" from the Disney animated classic "Beauty & the Beast" -- was in an episode of "Next Gen." That *can't* be a coincidence.)Β
In looking over the cast list for "Atlantis," I've noticed that realized that several of the actors are no longer living, with two of them having passed away earlier this year: Jim Varney; James Garner; Leonard Nimoy; and most recently, John Mahoney (he portrayed Kelsey Grammer's dad in the "Cheers" spinoff "Frazier") and David Ogden Stiers.Β

Atlantis was one of the few disney movies I had on VHS (before the dvds came out) I remember not being able to watch anymore because the tape had broken and couldnt be repaired.Β
All those memories came back because of this piece. Thank you for reminding me of a great movie.
