Hey, this is sexy. I love the lighting on this--did you use HDRI or some equivalent? It has a very light, airy quality to it. Yum. I especially like the hand gesture reflecting in the visor.

i think i'd like to see him in a slightly different pose.. arms a tad more foraward and face a tad upper.. as to instead of looking at his arms he'd be in a saddened/despaired/calling to the gods type of pose

Since you said critiques are encouraged, the only thing I don't get about the image is why he's in mid-step. I mean, he's a robot, assuming he's looking at his hands in amazement, wouldn't it make more sense for him to have both feet planted firmly on the ground. I'm sure that's not the scenario, but the way he's looking at his hands gives me that impression.
For trying to show expression with something that really don't even have a face, that's a damn good job. *nods* Awesome, seriously.

Sick model of a robot nicely done yet the chest area looks a bit cramp to me maybe could have a bit spaced out! but other than that i love the design good work man

wow, this is absolutely amazing. It looks so realistic. Your robots are always so great especially how the express emotion. A definite +fav and i'm looking forward to futures pieces with this robot, like the m-bot series.
