Description [link]

The Amphisbaena is a mythical, ant-eating serpent with a head at both ends. It was said to travel by locking its jaws together and rolling like a hoop, and was able to regenerate its body if cut in half.

According to Greek mythology, the mythological amphisbaena was spawned from the blood that dripped from Medusa the Gorgon's head as Perseus flew over the Libyan Desert with it in his hand.

Today the word "amphisbaenia" is used for an order of legless lizards which may have been the inspiration for the mytical creature.

Dear god, I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M DOING THIS. Yes, I'm going to try and get through all 26 letters, though knowing my attention span and motivation you're probably going to have to start poking me with a cattle prod to get through them all. You have my full permission to do so, by the way.

Hah, love the visual joke, I made a similar one in my version of the Amphisbaena, I had it using its waste as a form of attack from one head.
