This is beautiful. I love the orange tone on the feathers. It gives a cheerful result, more than if there were only grey or blue tones for the shadows

Joy Of BeautyI confess, I'm addicted to beauty. I don't want to be cured, I want to spread the joy of discovering works of beauty, and the desire to create them, to as many others as will hear. I can't imagine life without this appreciation, this urge, and I am sad for those who lack them, and choose to remain so. It seems to me that if more people were interested in noticing what is lovely around them, and increasing the quantity and quality of art in their lives and those they know and care about, the world would be a better place. A more peaceful, hope-filled, loving place. But my guess is, because you're reading this, you already agree with me! Gorgeously done and love the level of detailing in the feathers.
I've drawn a few owls myself from the local falconry centre

They are lovely animals.
At the local centre, there's a very cheeky barn owl called Oscar who is great fun to fly. There's also a big long-eared owl called Jacob who has an irrational fear of cats

Hahaha, aw, poor Jacob. I bet he is much stronger than most cats!

They're not sure why he's afraid of cats. He's been raised there and although the manor house owners have a cat, they've never had any interaction.
Jacobs claws could shred the cat and he's 3 times his size but if he sees it, he just flies into the top of the big oak tree by the gates and just hoots loudly.
Oscar, who's smaller than the cat, delights in low fly-bys right over the cats head
