Description
This is an original character, all was designed by me.

I made it on Bristol Canson paper, 38cm x 29cm (15"x 11.5") (complete support is an A3 size).

Materials : Copic Sketch, Pantone, watercolor (sky and moon) and gouach (the outlines).
I used soft pastel for the fireflies light.
I made some lines with a gold pen (on his Kimono) we can see that better on the progress photos under.

do you draw the lines on your art after you color it? why?

yes, because event if use the multiliner for Copic, it's always dry with colors. so I color before, and after I do the final lines.
(I was leazy to have some black colors dry with skin colors or other, so now it's the line in last)

hmm i might see if that works for me because so far i have always done lines and sketchy shadows first and then the coloring, the only problem there was that it's so much harder to not color over the lines or smear the black ink

Wow this looks like it reproduced really well! I like the smooth fades and the texture from the watercolor! What do you think of the Pantones?

thanks to read my description text.

Oh yeah, and just in case this is the point of misunderstanding, by "reproduced" I meant that your colors scanned very well. Usually (at least for me) markers stuff tends to lose something in reproduction.

Eh? I didn't say anything about the design. You mentioned using Pantone in your description. I assumed you meant Pantone Markers.

ok, sorry, I'm not english...
I use Pantone markers since many years (before the Copic) but now I'm very sad because Pantone markers does not existe now. they changed and are called Promarker by Letraset, and they have not the quality than Pantone (and colors changed) sample: pantone have 3 leads, Promarker and Copic have only 2 leads.
I have many refills but now I almost epuised them, so my Pantones will be dead soon

It's cool, I figured you just misunderstood. It's no biggie.

But actually! Speaking of Pantone Markers, I'm guessing Letraset must have just lost the rights to use the name "Pantone" with their brand, because have you seen these? [link] These are not owned by Letraset nor are they called Promarker. They are AWESOME! The neon colors may not pick up on a scanner, but other than that the color range is great and they blend really well.

O_O I didn't know about these new Pantone!!!! (I buy on this site some of my tools) but I never seen them before today.
My Pantones are older version you can see one here: Pantone was owned by Letraset now they seems to be like Copic ones O_o, maybe the colors are like my old ones, I need to see that...
(but it's the same "problem" the new Pantone we can see in your link seems to have only 2 leads, mine have 3 leads in one marker.)
