Verdell Hydra is a highly questionable character with equally questionable companions. Always upbeat and happy even in dangerous situations that could potentially lead to defeat or death. Apparent sadistic attitude in relation to her battle style; which is more often than not playing with her opponents and tossing low-key torture. Have yet to lose her cool. Always eerily cheerful and seen with a wide smile/ grin.
Very protective/possessive of her teammates.

People see Verdell as a creepy, but pretty decent person. She often gives advices to people that actually works more often than not. But because she has the reputation of being a sadistic little fuck at random times, people tend to not really establish a relationship with her.
The teachers were instructed to be on constant watchout for her and her team due to classified information only Ozpin and a few others has.
Friends: Verdell is very protective of her few friends, sometimes to the point of being a little too crazy.
Team: Team VENM is very close and shares a history few know of. Although it is apparent that Team VENM holds their team leader in great respect and affection.
Enemy(ies): Verdell is a ruthless opponent. She tends to dismantle her enemy’s tactic almost immediately and uses it to play with said enemy. She is very sadistic and would often watch her fallen foe squirm as she constantly gives him/her/it constant doses of her poison.

Verdell can generate a potent poison which she harvests by doing normal venom extraction procedure. Also a very good constricto-ergh, hugger.
Semblance is called Medusa which enables her to see long distances and paralyze whoever looks straight right into her eyes. An advanced level of this allows Verdell to create an illusion over her opponent that utilizes their greatest fear(s).
Brief History: Verdell grew up surrounded by faunus experiments held responsible by an underground facility that specializes in creating a hybrid using faunuses and grimms. Due to her uncanny intellect and promising abilities, she was plucked from being a specimen and turned into an assistant of the main scientist. As the years progresses, Verdell’s attitude shifted and she began doing the experiments herself, enjoying the sound of screams and the sight of terror filled eyes.
One day, a falcon faunus was brought in for trying to break out from the facility and was given to Verdell for punishment. But instead of getting tortured, Verdell took care of the falcon due to the reason of her recognizing him as one of her cellmates when she was still Specimen #08. Seeing that she still has some kind of humanity left, the falcon faunus; Specimen #15 began talking about how cruel and sick she had become. Finally, Verdell regained some of her will back and planned a breakout, Specimen #15 acting as her right hand. The facility crumbled into nothingness with Verdell and Specimen #15 being the only ones left alive.
Trivia:
- Team VENM were inspired by Greek Monsters with Verdell deriving from the Hydra and Gorgon Medusa.
- Verdell means green in French.
- Verdell’s personality was loosely based on The Vampire Twins from Black Lagoon.
- Verdell shares the same animal-spirit with my first official OC; Raijin Kurai
- Verdell’s snake species is the Green Mamba which is one of the most venomous snakes and fastest.
- Verdell’s weapon; Snake Root is named after a poisonous plant; Ageratina Altissima which is simplified to Snakeroot. It is possible for the large scale deaths during the 19th century.
- Her design is unintentionally similar to Emerald Sustrai
- Fighting style while on sword mode is based on Tachibana Kanade’s Hand Sonic(but under the wrist instead of above) of Angel Beats while her Whip style is a combination of Diao Chan from Dynasty Warriors and Ivy Valentine from Soul Calibur.
- Team VENM was the outcome of three revisions. First being Team ONYX with Verdell originally named Orochi and the second one being Team FANA with her being named Fraenir.
