Description
This is a medium sized diptych that proved very hard to photograph well. The blue and magenta elements appear more saturated than in the original. I've always photographed my work using natural light or preferably scanned it if it's small enough. Some colours are trickier than others, as you know. All in all, I think it's a good enough rendition to give you an idea of the painting.
Compositionally, "the strip" is the wide whiter strip of paint that runs along the entire diptych. The title has an additional meaning though. I live in an area in Spain that is bordering the southern limits of Catalonia. People here actually speak Catalan, even though the county belongs to Aragon. This narrow, Catalan speaking area is called The Strip.
