it was a lovely, sunny day when Jessica decided to take a stroll to the park in her new dress. the day before, she got the dress with an orange and strawberry motif, knowing well that they were her crush's favorite fruits. this day seemed like the day the stars aligned for her, because sitting on a bench at the park was none other then the boy of her dreams himself.she took a seat right next to him, hoping to spend some quality time with each other...

I did a lot of experimenting with this pic, including a different style with the BG and a different way of shading eyes. the result:

I swear, the colors, the background, Jess's refined hairstyle, EVERYTHING in this pic ended up UBER CUTENESS!!!!
also, I'm wearing pink, cuz datz manly.
Jess is probably going to try harder to impress Y-Me. Will she one day win him over and end his pitiful attempts at Yeshia? or will Y-Me just continue playing Tekken like in this pic? only time will tell, people, only time will tell

This is one of those Deviations that are deeper than it meats the eye at first. To some it may seem like a cute drawing with a lazy background, but it isn't the case.
Think of this as a dream come true. A dream a little girl once had during art class. She drew herself with the boy of her dreams sitting on a park bench. One day, it happens exactly like in her drawing, and suddenly she remembers it, thus the whole world turns into that particular drawing in her eyes.
To me, it's more than just more fanart of our favorite video-game characters. It's a story told in a single drawing.

well, they're both pretty dense, so this relationship could really work.
actually, the BG was just me experimenting with a different technique. I didn't think it would fit so well with the message of the pic.
