This is really beautiful, I mean for me who likes to romantasize depression ... thereβs so much story and body to it inspires poetry as it poetic itself ... awesome work .
I for one enjoy dark art , a descriptive poem , a song and art , art in all its forms and this remind so me of Edgarβs Raven and lighthouse... I like how you brought out the decay effect bring something the picture together.
Weβre always our worst or the best in our mind and walking the plank for so long any side is edgy.

Ja ich denke der groΓe Hype ist seit Jahren vorbei. Seit dem Photoshop Adwanced Magazin eigentlich eingestellt worden ist. Die Docma richtet sich an Bildbearbeiter. Die Adwanced war wirklich auf hohen Niveau was die Tutorials anging. Trotzdem gibt es immernoch ziemlich gute KΓΌnstler, auch wenn der Photoshop Hype abgeflacht ist.

The work with textures is really damn cool, especially the parts over the right side of his forehead with the aquamarine hues... The whole thing looks a bit like if you looked into an open quartz rock. Love the hands and faces in the background too. ^.^'

Good one Erik. Abstraction with realism and a meaningful concept, my favourite; there are even painterly and photographic qualities here. That skull-flame is 'cool'; the three figures (portrait, self and skull) dynamically work well together. The layout is a bit like a book cover; I am not sure about that space at the bottom, seems like an uncropped area with the main work above it. Perhaps some reflection of the radiance in a semicircular pattern to complement the composition would work there... On the other hand it does need some breathing space, which has to be maintained through distribution of values.

thanks mate! Perhaps the composition is a bit book-cover-inspired to leave some negative space at the bottom which can be filled with a book title.
