There are sometimes works, that are like... disease.You return to them, you put some new shades on them, and still - YOU DISLIKE THEM. The worst thing about it is that you don't know WHY you dislike them.
I have a lot of people to persuade me that this work is OK.
But I don't like this girl looks too much like me.
Or I don't like this girl doesn't look like me at all.
Or I doubt if the light is suitable.
Or that dreadful alien hand of this odd girl....
God knows, why.
This work is my child - but I treat it as a stepmother.
I am still waiting for someone who can reveal my mistakes........

I think its ok, its just the face is out much. It's the boldest part of the painting, and since I don't know how you wanted it, but it seems the most important part is the face.
it looks like you started to detail around the face then either got bored or didn't want to finish and got sloppy. Everything around her looks blurred out.
I like it though...

I actually like the hand, because it sparks imagination, how did she get it? Is it covered in cloth? Is it dead tissue like frostbite? 
I hope something in there makes sense or/and is useful

The reality of being an artist is you'll always disappoint yourself once in a while. Somewhere along the line you've deliberately or subconsciously drawn a subject similar to you. The fact that it looks like you annoys you because you like to be creative, and the fact that you couldn't say it actually IS you annoys you even more because it wouldn't be good enough to be a self portrait.
And the hand does look rather creepy. May I suggest that if the hand isn't necessary or symbolic to the picture, hide it amongst the shadows. But if you DO need it, you might have had better luck with a different light source. Also, I'm not sure if the hand is underneath a silk sheet or something. If it is, it looks like the silk is clinging a little too tight around the contours of the hand.
Another thing I've picked up on "although it looks beautiful anyway" is that there is a distinct bold light source coming off the sheet to the right. And then the Girls face has a more calm light reflection. This bold lighting technique of yours is used really well in some of your other works, but they have all been used on more surreal circumstances. Perhaps mixing the bold lighting and the calm lighting in this one has made the girl look out of place, which depending on whether or not you wanted this piece to be realistic or not can either be a good thing or a bad thing.
The subject is also almost right in the middle of the canvas making the overall experience more neutral and less interesting. Perhaps tilting the angle of the image counter clockwise a little could add to the mysteriousness.
I'm just not sure on what you wanted to achieve in the first place. But this is what we call in the animation industry "a good mistake"
You may not like it but the reality is this is still a beautiful image. It's a shame you don't like it. But knowing that there’s more potential behind something like this makes me eager to find out what you really can do.
And just to add at the end since I've been rather negative about this one to help you solve this mystery. Her eyes are beautiful and she has this classy, original, picturesque look about her. Women just don't look like that anymore.

I believe I'm to study with this knowledge in my head... that may be a real step forward in things I do.
About her eyes... that turned out to be that very detail that was too close to real me. I was a bit surprised, when I realized that I gave her my eyes - and especially the fact, that the expression was mine alone. It appears on my face only when I take off my glasses and don't actually see anything..... It's queer, but this only detail is kinda satisfying for me.))

Now, I don't know what you had in mind when you painted this. Of course you don't like it if you wanted it to look like you, and it doesn't. Or, the other way, if you wanted not to look like you, but, hey, it does look like you. As for the alien hand, did you want it there? I would give you some advice about how to make it more natural, but i don't know the English words for that [it's about anatomy terms 
First of all, make up your mind about what you wanted to paint.
