Sometimes I like to imagine a tv series based on the book.... but I'm sure such adaptation will ruin it, AND there are certain charms u can only get from reading it

I feel the only way they would get it right would be to have it be an animated series directed, produced, drawn, and written by fans of the books. Having fans doing the voices would be a plus, but as long as they got the soul of the character they were voicing, their fan status wouldn't be too important. It would have to be done by someone who loved the series, not someone who was just trying to cash in on the fans, like what happened with the Percy Jackson Movies or the Jem Movie. But, with an animated series especially, you could make sure the characters looked and sounded right. Also there would be things you wouldn't miss because of the time crunch a movie would present. And as long as the rights holder was good with it, you could take dialogue straight from the books. If done right, it could be so amazing.
