Description Kasai Riding Centre Training Log | Spring/Summer 2018 | Samuel Matsuka, Hideki Matsuka

KRC Imperium (Also, but not featured: KRC Tsuki, KRC Machiavelli)

"The three Zlesdin colts have begun their early stages of training under my hands, though Hideki has taken a particular liking to Imp. Out of the three, Macho is showing the most willingness to cooperate, Moon is quiet, though this makes him sometimes difficult to reach. He tends to bottle up his emotions, and has quite a few sudden outbursts which could prove difficult in his ridden career later down the line. Imp is currently living up to his name, he is the most mischeivous out the three, often being found roaming the courtyard having escaped his stable. He's a bright horse, highly intelligent, this could serve him well if he learns to listen to his rider." - Sam

"Imp escaped again today, though the more he is worked it seems the more he starts to settle, he's been started on a faster program than the others due to his seemingly higher intelligence and drive to learn. Macho is proving to be the golden boy of the yard, he's mild and calm and will likely also be ready for a rider quicker than the others. Moon could be an issue, liberty work might be key in his future training" - Hideki

KRC DRM Principessa del Crepuscolo

"Since Princess came to us having had some time away from competitons to develop as a broodmare, we have started her back slowly. At this stage, Hideki is taking the ride whilst I oversee, she is proving to be a tricky ride, very sensitive and attentive to what her rider is asking. Though she is a great teacher for both of us, we will need to find her a rider with enough knowledge to bring her on, ready for her debut back on the competiton scene. One thing is for sure, she definitely has a lot of fire left in her, despite being one of the older ladies at the yard." - Sam

KRC Daddy Dentin

"Red has been proving to be a very calm ride for an off the track thoroughbred, given a few months off since his arrival, I've started to re-introduce him to a saddle. He's taking the weight change from his racing gear very well, and will definitely be a good contender for the competition team in the new year, he is strong and agile from his days as a racer, and already is proving from his liberty work that he has a powerful jump on him." - Sam

KRC Mona Lisa

"Lia is proving a favourite around the yard for her sweet and willing nature, for now Hideki has taken the ride due to her short height. It is likely we will need to find an alternative rider or home for her. Though, she could prove useful for a schoolmaster when she matures." - Sam

"This mare is an excellent all-rounder, she has a great jump on her, and is always sweet and willing, never mareish. Though she lacks a competiton drive, she would be well suited to a younger or nervous rider." - Hideki

"Somehow I sense this mare will still have a future at Kasai, Hideki's notes lead to only one thing: One of his crazy schemes" - Sam

KRC Monsieur

"Sid is proving a complicated ride, though forward and very talented, he is quite the argumentitive sort, and can be a nightmare to handle around mares. We'll likely be looking into gelding him, his talent shines throgh the aggression, and his forward nature could make him a very good sort for low level competitons. I have been taking the ride for now, however this horse is on the shorter side, and may need to be assigned to a shorter rider." - Sam
