She has one fully erect ear and one partially erect ear which are both set far from the center of her head.

Personality: Jayne is an incredibly sweet but determined dog. When in the home, she thinks she is small enough to be a lap dog and will shower her people or any other member of her family in kisses and cuddles. When working, she is fiercely determined, energetic, and focused. When in certain situations she is also incredibly competitive. This competitive streak can bring out a meanness in Jayne. Though it is buried deep now, she once had to rely on it in order to grow big and strong. If she were placed in another situation where she had to compete to survive, she would likely fall back on this trait. This girl also has a fiercely strong belief in tradition and the spirits/ spirit world. It is the reason that she loves dreams so much <3

|Sweet| One of the first things noticeable about Jayne is her kind disposition. She will happily crawl onto your lap and lick your face, she will foster puppies, she will guard and help the weak. Most people believe that she doesn't have a mean bone in her body because she tends to be so sweet the majority of the time. Don't let this fool you though, there is fire within her as well.

|Determined| Jayne is incredibly determined in all that she does. When working she is focused and energetic, always determined to meet the goals that she sets for herself as well as those that her people set for her. There is determination hardwired within her soul, after competing with her sister, this determination has become more healthy. Besides a bit of praise, love, and an obvious goal to work towards, you don't need to give this girl much to get her motivated.

|Competitive| Thanks to her early competition with her sister, Jayne is still seriously competitive. This tends to work out in her favor as it gives her determination and pushes her to be her best. However, sometimes Jayne takes it too far and pushes herself too hard or beats herself up for losing competition that pushes herself too hard. She has been known to hurt herself slightly in competitions such as this.

|Traditional| True to her village, Jayne is very traditional. She believes in the spirits and thinks that her vivid dreams are messages from them. While this gives Jayne something to believe in and put her faith in, it can also hold her back. She doesn't tend to like new things or new beliefs and has a hard time accepting them. However, she tends to keep her beliefs quiet and doesn't bring topics of tradition up unless necessary. She doesn't like the confrontation that can come up with others when they think you are pushing your beliefs on them or refusing their beliefs.

|Snappy| When something gets on her nerves or she gets stressed or isn't feeling well, Jayne can be quite snappy. She will snap at those annoying her, though she never tends to snap with the intention of hurting anyone. She only snaps to get their attention and let them know that what they are doing is annoying or hurting her. Only in very bad times will she snap with the attention to hurt, and only if the other is trying to hurt her or someone she loves.

|Selfish| In times of need, Jayne can become very selfish. She hoards goods and will cash them if possible. This originates from her competition with her sister and the few nights that she spend alone and hungry. Jayne remembers these times and if it looks like something similar is going to happen, she will prepare before hand. This means that she won't share with others unless she sees them as under her care. Even if they are weaker, if she views them as a threat to her survival or the survival of someone she is looking out for, she will do nothing to help them and try her best to keep them out of her business.

Pre-Group History: Innulak was born to a herding mother and a village dog father. After birthing her pups, Innulak's mother was eager to get back to work and show her pups what she did, for she loved her job and her pups more than anything else in the world. By the time her litter was a few months old, her human allowed her to take them out and show them the herd, with supervision of course. Innulak loved what she saw and vowed to be a great herder like her mother one day! But something unexpected happened when Innulak was about five months old. She went into an early heat. Her humans were not yet worried about her interactions with older males, but while she was out playing with her siblings, away from her mama who was out on a trip working, she came into heat. The second day following this routine without much supervision, the young girl was bred by an older male. She didn't understand exactly what was going on, but hormones and instinct drew her to accepting it. At less than a year old, she would be a mother of her own pups. (The older male was a retured Swing dog for the Oskobi tream. Being energetic and wishing to race and run like old times - for his human never let him due to his arthritis - he escaped his confines and was running around the village. He found the young female in heat. Instinct and his desire to have more pups got to him before his better senses. And with such a sweet and accepting female, it was a perfect recipe for trouble. )

Later in the week when the family returned and the pups were inspected more closely (rather than just being fed by another in the village) they were very surprised to find some minute differences in Innulak. A few more weeks and their suspicions were confirmed. She was pregnant. A few months later, Innulak gave birth to five pups. And thus begins Jayne's story. But she didn't begin as Jayne, her name was Nya. The mixed breed puppy lived a fairly normal life for the first few months. Her relations with her siblings varied, she was the runt, but she was not the weakest. She had a fiery spirit, likely inherited from her father. She found help from her brother Renki, while meeting no resistance from Denzin or Marinn. But her greatest competition came from her oldest sister, Kafig. They fought almost constantly for dominance and eventually Kafig won. Nya became a weak pup and started fading. Her human parents did their best for her, feeding her away from her siblings and nursing her as best they could. Eventually she came out of her illness and grew stronger once more. The fights between her and her sister continued. One night when she was nearly a year old, Nya nd Kafig had their most fateful fight. They were outside, alone, being taught how to grow used to living in the cold with no help from human or canine parents. Their fight for dominance broke the ropes holding them to their kennels, and Kafig drove Nya away.

With several lacerations, Nya limped through the cold night until she was clear on the other end of the village. There, she was found by another family of humans in the morning. They took her in and cleaned her up, calling her Jane Dog. Because they didn't know her name, but she did look familiar. They began looking for her family and within a few days, found them. However, the situation w as clearly tough. Nya couldn't very well return home if her and Kafig were going to keep fighting, and some of the pups needed to find new homes anyway. Everyone believed that Nya had found hers. It was a fresh start, and her new family decided to call her Jayne. From then on, Jayne lived a calmer life. She got o visit her brothers and younger sister often, but she was kept away from Kafig. She was also introduced to sledding. Her old family had tried to teach her the ways of herding but that had never worked for her. She had inherited her father's desire to run.

With a new outlook on life and a new outlet for her energy and drive, Jayne was much calmer and more loving when not working. When working or training, she was incredibly determined and energetic, but always focused. Eventually Desnatu, her father, tracked down the female he had bred to and met his pups. Jayne build a good relationship with him which she cherished even more after her mother was overcome by cancer. Shortly after, her younger sister, Marinn had pups. Her labor stalled and the final two pups remained stuck in her uterus. Despite her best efforts and the best efforts of the village doctors, both she and her unborn pups perished. Leaving two pups without a mother. Kafig and Jayne were considered as foster mothers, while the humans fed them, they needed another dog to show them the ropes and look out for them. Jayne's nature proved better for fostering, so she was chosen, and given the responsibility of raising two new puppies, Dharma and Eska. The next year was very full for her. She worked to provide a secure upbringing for the two orphaned sisters, and she trained to be a team dog on a sled team. Her sister Kafig was already lead dog on a small independent Sled team, but Jayne wanted to be a part of the Oskobi team! By the end of the year, her foster pups were grown and ready to live out their own lives, and she was strong enough, fast enough, and good enough to be chosen for a team dog position in the Oskobi team. It was a dream come true! Now she works hard each day to make sure that she is worth the new position that has been granted to her.
