More like fortunately to me as I don't like disloyalty, especially to the villains. My favorites in the series are the Band of Seven minus the traitor Renkotsu.

Yup. anyone who is loyal to the cause is better than those who "think for themselves" for two reasons... firstly, they deserve to get executed when they betray the master; and secondly, because betrayal in and of itself is a disgusting act. I found Bankotsu to be extremely awesome of a character because he was very loyal to his comrades; did everything for their progress; Renkotsu on the other hand, schemed for himself; this is paralleled when we see Ginkotsu executed attempting to save his life, and Renkotsu learns nothing from this, thinking that his comrade's sacrifice was in vain; the great enigma of life is not to betray, this is what makes people weaker rather than more powerful.

On another note; in Dragon Ball, the best characters to me are Zarbon and Dodoria because they carry out Frieza's evil desires to the bitter end without question; and they are one day executed by the traitorous Vegeta, who in turn, betrays Frieza and goes renegade, which is also why Vegeta is my least favorite and the actual villains remain my favorites.

So... it's a good thing for Villains to have loyal people that will ensure victory because of that loyalty, which will mean evil will win (you're only talking about villains).

Honestly, Freiza is my least favorite villain (don't like him and his personality which results in no loyalty to anyone but his father) and Cell and Super Buu are my faves in DB. Cell and Buu are my faves because they don't do things to people they like (Cell doesn't have anyone he likes and Buu likes Hercule through Fat Buu's influence) and Frieza would probaly kill his father if he could. Also what about the Ginyus.

I hate Cell as he's my least favorite antagonist in all DB history; coincidentally, the entire Cell Games was the most useless to me in all DB history as it was the only saga that didn't revolve around the acquisition of the Dragon Balls and it concentrated on this level saiyan and that level saiyan... which I cared nothing for... I love all the colorful villains throughout the series, everyone from Staff Officer Black to Dolltaki to General Rilldo and Tambourine. But Cell remains my least favorite due to the amount of screen time being abused and him being the only character in that entire saga, he was very very boring with his "i am perfect" and "ultimate perfection", and "perfect this" and that... also, he was less evil because he only wanted to face someone stronger primarily due to the saiyan genetics and the overall competitive nature. I prefer actually evil villains like Van Zant who sniped and killed the elderly and buu's puppy bee. That was better to me than the entire Cell saga. The only thing I enjoyed in the entire Cell saga was Android 19 and Dr. Gero for pummeling and draining Goku's energy before being capped by Vegeta. My other least favorite "antagonist" was Android 17 because he was also a traitorous scum who was never really a villain to begin with. Also, Fat Buu wasn't much of a villain either, he's just another warm-hearted insane loony. I'd have to say that my least favorite characters in all DB/Z/GT are in this order, respectively: Android 17 (traitor and boring), Vegeta (traitor and anti-hero), Cell (extremely boring), Broly (over-hyped low-vocabulary maniac), Nuova Shenron (betrays own brother), Majin Buu (betrays Babidi and Dabura), Pan (very annoying), Kid Trunks (annoying and boring), Kid Goten (annoying and boring), Gotenks (annoying and stupid), and Janemba (over-powerful random monster). These are pretty much all my least favorites in the series run.

As for my favorites in all of the series and movies, in order respectively: Zarbon, Dodoria, Cui, Jeice, Burter, Recoome, Guldo, Android 19, Pui Pui, King Cold, Salza, Neiz, Doore, General Blue, Nappa, Dabura, Dr. Gero, Staff Officer Black, Spopovich, Drum, Captain Yellow, Colonel Silver, Major Metallitron, General White, Tambourine, Cymbal, Misokatsun, Ebifurya, Kishime, Angira, Wings, Medamatcha, Spice, Vinegar, Mustard, Salt, Nicky, Ginger, Sansho, Dr. Kochin, Amond, Cacao, Rezun, Rakasei, Daiz, Android 14, Android 15, Yakon, Yamu, Raditz, Paragus, Sergeant-Major Purple Ninja Murasaki, Captain Dark, Kogu, Bido, Bujin, Eis Shenron, Ledgic, Haze Shenron, Rage Shenron, Dolltaki, General Rilldo, Buyon, Aka, Cardinal Mutchy Mutchy, Dr. Myuu, Frieza, Cooler, Chilled, Bojack, Android 13, Mercenary Tao, Captain Ginyu, Garlic Junior, Lucifer, Van Zant, Smitty, Master Shen, Evil Buu, and Dr. Wheelo. See the pattern here?

no, i don't. the only reason i love these series is because of the overwhelmingly brilliant designed bad guys and their tragic stories; of which are their own making.
