Walking to her first class, Alice stopped at every door, checking which number was on the sheet and what number was painted on the door. Double checking that it wasn't the right room, she continued on her search. After coming across the same door three times, she was starting to lose hope. Alice let out a heavy sigh and checked the schedule once more. "What are you doing?" Alice jumped, and spun around to see who startled her so. The familiar face wanted to make her smile with glee as she found the one person who might be able to help her. "Cheshi thank goodness you're here. I've gotten lost you see, I am trying to find room 214 could you direct me in there?" Cheshi gave her a quick look before stretching out his hand. "Hand me that paper." She did as he told her and he studied the sheet. "Well guess what. You're lucky. You got almost every class with me friends and I." Cheshi smirked. "Who are your friends?" Alice looked at him but he just smirked more. "You will find out soon enough." Alice stared at him questioningly. "You know, you act very shady. I don't like it. You need to change that." Alice sped up to turn and stand in front of him, making him come to a halt. "Are you mental? I only just met you not twenty minutes ago. You can't tell me what I need to change! You gunna be my mental mother at school to?" Cheshi looked at her, and saw an expression like she didn't mean it. He closed his eyes and rubbed his temple. "I'm sorry. Now let's get to class before that old hag cuts our heads off!" Alice and Cheshi giggled. They both set off to class, Alice studying her schedule and asking Cheshi who his friends were and asking why they would apparently be spending so much time together. "Trust me. At least give me this one to surprise you with." Alice sighed and nodded, she obviously wasn't going to change the boys mind.
Making it to the class ten minutes before class was over they stepped inside. "Ahh, Cheshi so nice of you to join us." The teacher glanced over at Alice. "Oh! You must be Alice Lewis. Tis a pleasure to meet you. I am Rick Pawn but please call me Mr. Pawn. I will be your biology teacher for this term. Please take an empty seat." Alice bowed and smiled. Walking to the back and taking a seat in the corner, she sat. "Cheshi tell me why YOU are late." Mr. Pawn looked at Cheshi with disgust but the boy wasn't fazed. "Got called into Hearts' office then I helped Alice find her way." Cheshi shrugged and started walking to his seat. "Cheshi that isn't a reasonable excuse." Cheshi stopped and turned around. "Come on Dick- I mean Rick!" Everyone started laughing and the mistake. Mr. Pawn looked at him with furry. "Mr. Geens you just earned yourself a detention." Mr. Pawn said, as he started writing on a pink slip that read in big, inky letters, "Detention Notice." Cheshi sighed, "Honestly you can add it to my already half an hour detention. How long is it? Twenty minutes?" Mr. Pawn just smirked. "Of course, and I think I will add on another 10 minutes anytime you talk out of term today." Cheshi just looked at the clock. Five minutes to go. "Whatever." He walked up to the front and gathered the pink paper. Slipping into his assigned chair next to Alice, he gave her a quick smile. "Now class mid-terms are coming. You need to be prepared. I have gathered most of the information that you will need. The rest are in your textbooks. The page numbers are on the board, please copy them down before you leave." Mr. Pawn handed them a packet the size of Big Ben and smiled. Every student looked at the packets in disgust. Alice tenderly raised her hand. "Umm sir. I haven't studied most of the things in this packet, And I haven't been handed at textbook yet." Mr. Pawn just smiled and went to the cupboard. Pulling out a book, he made his way over to Alice. "Here you go Miss. Lewis." Alice took the book shyly, and put it on her desk. "If you need any help I will be here after school." Smiling, Mr. Pawn set off to his desk. Alice turned to Cheshi, "He seems like a nice teacher." Cheshi looked at her in disgust. "Are you serious? He's a pedophile! He tries to make a pass at any girl in the corridors and in his class! Don't go and see him after school, he most likely will do something disgusting." Cheshi turned back to his textbook and skimmed the page for answers. He turned to two people on the right of him and looked over the papers with them. Alice tapped his shoulder. "How would you know anything about that?" Alice looked puzzled as Cheshi's face wrinkled into a grimace. "Give me your number. I'll text it to you. And you had better not tell anyone else about it." Alice pulled out her phone. A small, bright blue cover with a big crown sticker on it. Cheshi chuckled and Alice blushed. "Don't blame me; it was my big sister that put it on there with super glue." Cheshi continued to chuckle and pulled his phone out. Black case with teal edges. Cheshi opened Alice's phone and proceeded to put his phone number into her contacts. "I'm gunna send a test text." Alice nodded and Cheshi proceeded to do so. After the process was over the bell rung for passing period. The two looked at each other and stood up to go to the door. As people were filling out of the door, Cheshi looked over Alice's schedule. "You have the next two classes with my friend Cati. I think you'll like her." Alice smiled. "And your class is right around the corner. 223. I gotta go to my class. Talk to me at lunch unless you want to make friends with others." Cheshi shrugged. "I would be delighted to sit with you. Now what does Cati look like?" Cheshi started to walk in the other direction, "Umm. She usually wears hoodies, gloves, oh and she's got bright blue hair. Like almost as bright as your dress." Alice nodded and proceeded to take off in the direction of her class. As both of them turned, they smiled at each other, signaling the sign of new beginnings of new friendships in this new town, soon to be new world for some.
