Overall, I think the picture is well drawn and thought out. There is a good balance between the two characters and the background. I really like the little details for each muscle line. It gives the characters detail and dimension/depth.
Even though the background is fairly simple, it fits the scenario of the picture and balances out the more detailed characters. Although the shades of the colors you chose for the background are all very similar, the viewer can still tell the difference of each object and parts of the landscape from each other.
But the only thing wrong with the picture is how unproportioned the female character's arm is. Its too thin compared to the rest of her body. Especially where her shoulder and upper arm meet.
