even in her previous life did she not leave the premises and here she stood, at the gates of her greenhouse, the edge of her boundary. Tentatively, she pushed the snow-soaked gates wide open. It was time to embrace the world. The snow was cold on her feet, the sound of her steps echoed out through the empty valley. Sunlight filtered through the naked winter trees as the golden sun settled on the horizon. She noticed that as soon as her lithe body passed through the gates, the primrose upon her back began to succumb to the harsh cold of the air. Cautiously, Babika continued her trek. The snow glistened as if it were covered by dewdrops. There were no birds, no squirrels or other wildlife, the silence was deafening. But maybe as she embraced what was out there, outside of her beloved home, the world would come alive.

the goal was to do this one last, kind of a introduction to the transformation I have planned for her, but I was so ready to work on this-- so beware! her timeline is a bit wonky now xD

this is Babika's change of heart. Previously, she was reserved, stuck in the past and lamenting the present, but now, I think she's ready to embrace the good to present. There are so many creatures out there that need her help and she's prepared to find them.
