After looking back upon the Sonic OVA it's clear that Sonic X lacked ONE vital thing... HIGH-SPEED BATTLES!!!Honestly, Sonic is supposed to be a show-off concept in that genre and comparing the 'Sonic Vs Shadow' battles in Sonic X with the 'Sonic Vs Metal-Sonic' battles from the older OVA is enough to make me weep.
*Sob* And Sonic X had SUCH Potential....
Anyhow, lately I've been suffering from an artist's block, meaning whatever I tried to draw didn't come out right.
And then all of a sudden I stumbled over geN8hedgehog's newest pic ("Cream_and_Blaze") and I felt the FIRE of Inspiration burn BRIGHT! ...corny, but it's true.
I've been wanting to draw the newest official Sonic-char for weeks, but I told myself that I had to finish some of my other works first... ..until I saw geN8hedgehog's pic. It was the thing that made the dam collapse.
SO without further adue..adoue..whatever(!), I PRESENT to you my Very FIRST pic of BLAZE the CAT!!!
..by-the-by, I TRIED to make a background 4 it... Didn't work

As someone who is a huge fan of both characters, a fight between Sonic and Blaze could honestly go either way.Β They actually may very likely stalemate.

i feel your pain i get artist block all the time and all i get is the opposite of what i originally wanted and i have to agree that Sonic X could have had more high speed battle anyway i like your drawing
