This is an awesome interpretation, sir -- really realistic and detailed. I won't say it's photorealistic (because it's not like that's what you were aiming for...), but it absolutely let's me imagine what the character would look like if she were a real person. The hair and its details are fantastic. as are the wrinkles and shading of her top and even the details of her belly button. Just fantastic work.

I'm so glad to hear that! I'd never done a challenge like this before and I really liked the artist's version, so I was hoping I did it justice. This was also a nice side project to give me a bit of a respite from the long-running cowboy painting I'm doing. I was kind of getting burned out and needed a break from it. And, thanks so much for noticing the details, by the way. That means a lot! It's a real confidence booster when you get compliments like that from another artist. (-:

Yeah, I can sympathize with how a change of pace is always nice when you're working on a huge project. I'm glad you found this distraction, so to speak, because it turned out really well.
