Description FULL VIEW MAKES IT SO MUCH BETTER

Ok, I confess, I sorta got the idea while watching the trailer for district 9 (which looks awesome, btw).

First real piece I've done since I bought my new tablet. I'm trying to change my style one bit at a time

EDIT: 1280x800 version : [link]

the blur over the distant mountain is kind of obnoxious, while objects further away and closer to the horizon do get "blurrier" that means there less discernible and are just kind of big shapes of color, studying distant mountains especially in images / places where there is a lot of low sitting atmosphere (when its raining, for example, and the clouds are overcast) you will be able to see distinct differences between 2 mountains of assumedly the same type of foilage if they are 2 distances away, because the light is reflecting off the all the atmosphere in the air.

How to photoshop this? Get a big soft brush on a low opacity and work in your atmosphere little by little, the more you practice the more you will be able to "eye ball" the effect accurately, this will create much more depth in your paintings.

And finally, district 9 looks like a sweet movie, great fan piece, and I love the bus in the foreground, very sharp and delineated.

Keep up the good work, hope this has helped in some way.

I know what you mean about the blur in the distance
I would fix it, but I can't really be bothered at the moment I'll try to do it right the next time

Thanks for the tip

yeah thats definitely the way to roll, don't worry about fixing every little thing, you'll never ever move on from piece to piece, just try to apply your learning's in your next piece
