yeah, i've been painting a lot of vinyls lately. i think like 5 in the last 3 weeks.
why vinyl? because there's extremely cheap canvases (99 cents at goodwill) and cheap means a lot for an artist. secondly, they're great for stenciling because, in contrast to cotton canvases, they are smooth and rigid so the stencil can lie flat. also the circular format is a challenge to create a solid composition on, but i enjoy the change

i believe that this media have a strong message, vinyl i mean.
everything maded on vinyl first catch my attention because vinyl born as vector for music.
In your case there are transformations of message --- from music --- to graphic --- to thinking.

and the Iwo Oil concet is simply great
