Found in a few places of the Southern sea, it has a super unimpressive Sp. Atk stat in favor of its better defenses. It was originally going to be its own Pokémon but I thought it might fit better as a regional variant. In brazillian culture, someone who is a "catfish head" is a dumb, rude or even stubborn person. It's pattern is based on the Ipanema Walkway pattern.Barboach

Yes, I know that. But I thought saying "less intelligent" would give it a harsher tone. Saying "not as smart" quotation marks included gives it a more satirical tone, as if the dex entry is trying too hard to be polite.
