haha well, i personally enjoy a good action anime, so black lagoon is one of my favorites. i think so many girls like revy because, crazy as she is, she's a more interesting and complex female main character than you see in a lot of anime directed at female audiences- and her whole goal in life doesn't revolve around getting a boyfriend.

very true, shes a stronger character then most woman animes. Of course, I think that's where more North American shows do better.

that's a good point, there are lots of shows made in the US and Canada that have strong female characters, whereas in shows from Japan they definitely tend to be more two dimensional.
