So this is a comparisonΒ of my work after my high school graduation and just before my freshman year of high schoolWOOOop!!!! So... three years change....

Hi! I'm from EnjoyArtwork, and this was submitted to the of the group's critique folder.
I don't know when you submitted this, but it has certainly been a while since then. So, I'm terribly sorry I didn't see it until now
So, here's some feedback to your artwork:

The improvement is great!
You managed to get the new version seem so much more realistic than the old one. The pose looks more natural, it makes the character look very cool. I like the mix between coolness and creepiness of the character. Everything is so detailed (I especially like her hair). Your anatomy skills are more advanced as well as your shading/colouring. More different colour shades were used, but I think you could try to even use more different colour shades (especially when colouring skin). What you could also work on is maybe your colouring style. The bordersΒ are very clear and seem hard in comparison with your smooth colouring style, so try to adjust your colouring style to your lines. I think the way you did the colouring of the hair is perfect in that aspect. It fits the "borders" more than the rest of the colouring. I hope you understand what I mean xD The folds and stains on her clothing are nicely done, and the floating cape adds dynamic to the picture. All in all, I think you can be really proud of yourself! Never give up, be open to try something new and continue practicing!

And yeah... I'm not the best when it comes to variety in colors.... I'm trying, but so far..
I see what you mean about my borders hmmm... I was trying to make it clear that that was to other side of the coat... but I got a little carried away O.o

don't worry about it, it's not very easy dealing with colours. Just take your time and experiment a little bit. I didn't mean it has to be colourful, but for example if you look at your skin there are some places where the skin is more red (for example finger tips) or yellow or brown (whatever), so if you include that in your colouring it looks way more realistic and also interesting 
and now that I look again, the thing with the borders is ok, it's not bad at second glance
btw, what program do you use for drawing?

I use easy paint tool sai
probably not the best program but defiantly an upgrade from pixlr

I use Paint Tool Sai, too, and I really love it! I think it's a good program c: Of course, it can't beat Photoshop CS etc., but if you don't need the filters and editing that can be done in Photoshop and just simply want to paint, Sai is a very good alternative (and in my opinion easier to handle cause it doesn't have that much functions).
Well, I don't do much digital Art but when I do I'm very content with the results (hope that doesn't sound too arrogant xD). . I'm mostly colouring lines from other artists, e.g. for colouration contests cause I'm not very good at drawing lines

I like digital as well as traditional
It just so happens that I color better in digital
can't say I know much about photoshop... I got an old version of it... and I'm still not sure how on earth it works... I'm way more comfortable with easy paint tool

Maybe I'm the same, that I can colour better digitally than traditionally. That's because you can easily redo things, and this is what's so nice in comparison to traditional art. you can still change some colours or erase things without damaging the paper or redoing the whole thing.
But that's the reason why I need more time for a digital colouration
I've got Photoshop Elements which is rather for photo editing than drawing. I hardly use it

I have gone through a good amount of drawing style changes
But I think the over all concepts haven't really changes
