If I were to show you HALF of my funky looking sketches with body parts just not where they belong, you would laugh your butt off. Maybe 1 in 20 attempts turns into something pretty. You just keep tryin.

It took me a long time too. The way I figured it out is to think of the long flight pinions as fingers. The ones on the tip of the wing I bother with, the rest are just a ruffled edge. Fold your thumb into your palm and put your hand out with the fingers splayed like the tip of a wing. And there you have your reference.
