I assumed, because of the long sleeves, that Urthur could live in a place where winter exists; and of course he would be able to fight no matter the weather. I made some changes in the clothes because the parted tabard was not something that was looking good with this scenery. I prefered clean lines to enhance the King's strength (also I was a bit puzzled by his coat of arms because it was different on the tabard and on the shield and this is not common in medieval heraldry so I skipped the issue: no coat of arms!).

I love the soft blue glow in his hands and clothing, and I also really like the painterly strokes apparent in his outfit!

Thanks a lot for the feedback! I wanted something quick and effective and went for painterly strokes (I miss traditional painting nowadays). I knew this would give an unfinished polish but in the motion, I find it works pretty well ^^ I'm glad you like it too.
As for the blue glow, I did my original sketch in cyan then merged with my painting layer, to make sure every feature of interest will be slightly haloed in cyan.

I love the angle and the snow! They both bring a lot of motion and force to the piece. All the different hues and highlights give me a lot to notice as well. Keep up the good work!

Thanks! I still find it not enough on some screens (the screen settings at work are not the same than my cellphone's or my screen's at home and at work it looks a bit dull
