Galadriel was the ruler of Lorien, along with her husband Lord Celeborn. Neither she nor he appropriated royal titles to themselves, since they considered themselves simply the keepers of Lorien.
Galadriel was one of the greatest elves in Middle-earth and surpassed almost everyone in beauty, knowledge, power. She wore Nanyu, the ring of the element of water - one of the three magic rings of the elves.
