Description Figured I'd upload this bad boy before things start hitting the fan in a big way. I'm not gonna have internet at the apartment until we get a router, among other things, so it'll be a while before I'm able to answer any messages or anything. But! My ninth novel is finally done (yes, ninth, with a 9, you heard me) and it's out in e-book and in paperback! I did a smart this time around and formatted it both ways!

From the website:

“Nobody expects the healer to die.
For most of the village, it would be a simple matter to wait for spring, making do until a new wolf-woman could travel south. For Aizen Shouni, a young dark-elf wracked with an illness that has only gotten worse with age, that wait could be a death sentence. Fearing for their friend’s life, Esper and Kaillte Oisinson begin their search for a cure, a search that leads them down paths most would fear to tread. With winter closing in and Aizen’s health deteriorating, one desperate last stand could save the dark-elf and give him a chance at a full life… or spell disaster for everyone involved.”

Oisinson is a coming-of-age story that toes the line between viking age historic fantasy and low-magic sword and sorcery, set in a world where gods choose champions and differences are celebrated, rather than scorned. A quick read that sets the stage for a much larger adventure in the Raven-Friend’s Saga and beyond.

So there you have it! If you haven't picked up my books and want to start waaaaay back at the beginning, this would be the place to do it! It's under 60k words, so it's a potato chip compared to some of the 500+ page works that seem to be trending, but I like to think it's punchy. I don't write a lot of extra, I don't really stop to explain background characters that never show up (I'm looking at you, Tolkien!) and I tend to not be very fruity in my descriptions. Basically, my writing fits the setting. Which I think is probably a good thing? I've been told I write well, anyway. (I write dialogue the way I write posts. I write the rest of it a little more eloquently.)

And let me know what you think of the art! Obviously. I didn't just post this for shameless self-promotion!

You do incredible backgrounds!!!   Well done on your 9th book!   And it is out in paperback!  (Yay for those like me who don't know what a kindle is! LOL)    When your other works are in paperback, I will continue to collect.   Knowing the histories of characters can be an adventure in itself.

(And what are you talking about 500+ works that are trending?  *hides Revindicare's 555 pages*  Are you hinting at something?  )
