My "Autumn" entry for the group Autumn contest: www.deviantart.com/artnouveau/…This contest made me so excited!
I love Art Nouveau / Jugendstil and Alfons Mucha is my hero, so I really wanted to stay true to his style.
It's always a challenge to create something that looks inspired, not imitated, but I think I managed to still maintain my own identity in this drawing.
Materials: * Graphite pencil 2H
* Watercolours
* Prismalo I watercolour pencils
* White Sakura Gelly Roll

Source material: a few years ago I made this sketch from a Marlies Dekkers "Undressed" ad, but I can't find the original picture. If I ever find it I will post it here.

This is such a breathtaking piece! The ornamental natural elements surrounding the model are gorgeous - love the branches, the leaves, the gnarled vines. The long flowing linework of the robes, the organic colors - everything works together to create this fantastic image. BRAVA!
