My entry for the Sea of Light event for #GenshinImpact , I actually already wanted to draw something after watching the 1.3 trailer so I decided to try to go for the contest

I was inspired by 1.3's trailer showing Xiao looking at all the lanterns floating in the sky, which is something that caught my attention because he is always by himself near Wangshu Inn, which is rather far from Liyue. He seems to always be alone yet still watching over the safety of everyone in Liyue from afar. The lanterns also carry people's wishes and hopes. So I felt like the lanterns floating from afar towards him could represent that, no matter how far he is, he will always be there to protect Liyue. At the same time, after advancing through the Lantern Rite Festival event, I decided to add one more lantern and make him stare at it with a smile. That lantern represents the gratitude and those who care for him, like the Traveler.

Time: around 10 days (+- 2 hours per day)
