- November 2022, Denver International Airport (KDEN) -I scheduled a ground tour of DEN with some of my students. It was fantastic! They let us off the bus in all kinds of cool places. This big bird was just outside United's maintenance hangar. I like the mismatched engine cowlings, which are blue with the new livery, even though the rest of the airplane is still wearing the good ol' gold and gray.
My flight instructor was a chief pilot on Continental 777s when they were brand new. He had some great stories, so I'm quite fond of these aircraft.
