Her past is a blur and she doesn't trust anyone with it. She used to live in a beautiful forest, where she was the daughter of a king. Due to her beauty and skills, she was asked to perform for the faerie queen and her court everyday. Years past and Shauna felt as if this was her punishment for something she couldn't control. She doesn't know that her parents, when they failed to conceive, when to the court to ask for a favor. The deal they made was that the child would grow up to be a skilled violinist who would have to sing for them each day.
Unaware of this, Shauna rebelled against the faerie court and said she would no longer sing for them. Angry, the queen cursed her to fall victim to her own hidden predator. So, coming back in present time, Shauna dissapears when she can feel herself go feral. Usually she turns back to normal in a couple hours, but she doesn't want anyone to see her true form.

How she ended up in this new land? She was banished by the faerie court as a punishment for the king and queen. She said that this is a punishment for everyone: Shauna will suffer her own angriness, the king and queen as well as their kingdom are left without an heir to the throne.
