: [link] I was supposed to make the lineart and she had to ink and color it ^^. Since my gallery is full of Saint Seiya pics, she proposed to go on with this theme lol. And we chose Shaka cause it's her fave character. I tried to make something special for the collab, not doing the photocopy machine as I always do, I'm sorry if it's clumsy ^^ (by the way Shaka is supposed to be a a child/a teen here).
Was a real pain to find the colors for this drawing.. I didn't like at all the first attempt so I printed the lineart and made several tests with color pencils as you can see on this pic . Just drove me crazy >.>.. The final result is kinda flashy but I'm done with it, don't want to redo it again

I so appreciate the efforts you've made in making this deviation -- even I don't do color tests 
I very much like how this turned out. The golden lotus compliments Shaka's hair and cosmo/aura and gives him this ethereal and "godly" feel. A pink lotus would've given quite an ornery feel to the work, while the lavender one would've faded with the water and the green lily pad.
Great choice, in the end.

Well er I think that the two versions are very different and each one has a little something personal. I really like what Lucia did moreover when I think of all the efforts that she has put in this work but I respect the fact that you enjoy traditional drawings

i just really like how you use colour pencils. people gave up on those and now do everything digitally. i'm just glad you still use them. i occasionally use oil pastels and acrylic paint, but the paper to use for it cost too much so i don't bother.
