After starting this 2 years ago I've finally come around to finishing it. I'm planning to submit it to Exotique. So I might do some minor edits and adjustments before I submit it. But for the most part it is finally finished.The story:
All dragon riders bond with their dragons. This process must be done at a young age for the dragon. During the process the dragon imprints onto their rider and it is forever set until one or the other dies.

I don't know why but I like his eyes. Also I like what you did about the texture on the coat collar. I also like the detail you put in the facial hair.

Concept is very clear to me, your composition of the 2 figures is right on. I recommend you try this again but with a wizard/sage and a different dragon.

Yeah the original drawing 2 years ago was referenced off of him. But I stopped referencing a little over a year ago… guess it still shows through :/ oh well.

I love how the little shine on the nose perfects it. The fingernail is great detailed also, and I always have a hard time drawing that.
