*goes into a retard moment* [link] . It's a real Koala! Wow, Australian animals are so very fascinating. Foxes, wolves, deer, bears and fish are only so entertaining until you realize they're commonplace. And even though this was shot at a zoo, I still find it amazing because I don't really have access to anything like that. Ah, the texture of his fur... the light in his eye. It all looks so beautiful and natural, like it was taken as such. Lovely work, lovely.

A part of dA that I really like is that I get to see animals from all over the world from such a wide variety of countries. I guess I take for granted how special these marsupials are; I've seen them all of my life - not to say that I don't find them cute or interesting anymore, but I guess if you've never seen one in the flesh then he'd be a lot more exotic. How come Australia's got all the awesome and strange animals? D: Kangoroos, koalas... oh, and the platypus! They're awesome!
ANYWAY, I just love the lightning in this one ^^ It's so soft and it really adds to the effect of that fuuur *stare* I just want to hug it and squeeze it :aaw:
