In sleepless nights,
I toss and I turn.
For my eyes feel the burn,
As I cannot rest them tonight.
Why does this darkness seem so bright?

In sleepless nights,
I wonder what has become.
For my body aches in total sum,
As I cannot rest my bones now.
Why does my mind not say ciao?

In sleepless nights,
I look at the clock.
For my mind only does talk,
As I cannot drain the thoughts.
Why is my head full of all these spots?

In sleepless nights,
I see there is an hour until I arise.
For my body and mind starts to apprise.
As I can sleep now for this gain.
Why have I learnt this value after all the pain?
