It's my FAVORITE character in Crash Bandicoot! Here's a description of the rascal from naughtydog.com:"The first of Dr. Cortex's subjects, Ripper Roo was also his least successful. Ripper Roo's character was created to show the dangers of the Cortex Vortex...in a humorous way."
So, there ya go. Ripper Roo is the second boss in Crash Bandicoot. He doesn't talk much. All he does is bounce around and laugh like a maniac.
He's so awesome!
