I was attracted to this submission originally by its realism features, the ferocity of the hunter and the hunted. The detailing in both dinosaurs is brilliant, you can clearly identify the difference between the feathery and furry hide of the predator and the scale-like hide of the prey, and the details on each help define this nicely.
The dinosaur designs are close to flawless, could have perhaps added a much bolder outline to each as some parts threaten to blend into the background image which isn't good due to the distance between the dinosaurs and what is in the background of this picture.
Shadow of the lower dinosaur is good, however appears a little flat, I believe a stretching shadow of the predator is also needed. Although he/she is resting on top of it's prey, at any focal point of light it would still cast off a slight shadow.
Your background looks very fitting to the scene, although in parts the quality appears lacking. If this is to give off a "haze" effect, which would be ideal in the desert conditions, I think it requires a little more of a hazy glow about it. Apart from this, the background features nice texture and color to compliment the submission.

That poor stegoceras never stood a chance. Shoulda given that light, air boned Saurornitholestes a good kick in the rump (if it could fly!)

Crap! now I feel somewhat compelled to change it...(nah, kidding). Still, I feel like it could be a little more original without being unrealistic.

Your drawings are just amazing when it comes to combining accurate feathering and scariness.

Thanks! the scariness here is unintended, but glad that it could perceived that way.

Ya, one of my big pet peeves is all the people that say "feathers make something less scary." despite the fact that ostriches have been known to kill lions with a single kick, golden eagles can be trained to hunt wolves, macaws have the bite force to snap off human fingers, and keas have been known to steal passports, eat the fat of living sheep and tear parts out of peoples' cars.

Thanks, I thought it might bit too conservative, but IΒ΄m happy with it nonetheless.
