While I was at the library I saw Poison Princess featured on a book shelf so I picked it up.
It's written by Kresley Cole and she wrote about tarot cards set in apocalyptic world and lots of power (the magical kind).
What's not to love?
The main character is called Evie Greene who begins to manifest all kinds of powers.
This is a scene straight from the book and for those who read it and paid attention would recognize this.
