This picture is now available as a print The T-Rex wasn't one of the faves my family asked for, but being such a popular little guy I just drew him for completion.
When I was little I used to hate it how in all those Dinosaur movies/ TV shows the carnivores were the bad guys. Poor fellas. They just had to eat to live. ;_;
I even started writing a book (when I was like, 8) about a family of raptors. I think one of the opening scenes was the daddy raptor trying to take down a sauropod so his kids could eat or something ridiculous like that. Silly young Zime.
At any rate, here's a blue baby T-rex trying to capture a bug to eat. Hehe.

I always through it was unfair that carnivores got such a bad rap too. Of course the carnivores were always my favorites so maybe I was just bias XD

Also...You're story is interesting! I once wrote a story when I was about 7 about a T-rex raised alongside a stegosaurs herd but he was driven out when he got older, it had a bit of a sad ending, lol

I would disagree that it's unimportant, per se. Bill Waterson drew some fantastic dinosaurs for Calvin & Hobbes. (Later in the comic any way. His original dinosaur work was much more cartoony). I remember even as a kid, three-fingered Tyrannosaurs bugged me.
That said, I do agree that accuracy is only necessary if it's an integral part of the style, and this is a really neat picture regardless.
