Oh man the secrets it must hold.Just watched episode 3. I don't intend to make comics/images for every episode but it may happen if they're all as good as that episode was.
EDIT: I haven't read the IDW comics. It's not for any particular reason I just don't take the time. If you ask if I have read them past this point I will hire IDW to write a comic about how I haven't read their comics.
AND THEN I WON'T READ THAT ONE EITHER!

I usually draw Luna about 15-20% shorter than Celestia. I'm unsure officially. I believe it is similar on the show but don't quote me on that.
In the event of this comic, they look the same size because I wanted them to take up the same/similar amount of box space in their panels.

If you ever get around to it, I'd totally suggest reading the comics. They're really entertaining (you absolutely don't have to be into comics to enjoy them. I'm not a comic person and I enjoy them.) and only take 10 to 15 minutes to get through a comic at the most.
