I like Starlight Glimmer.Β Her design is like they mashed up Twilight and Rarity.
The background might feel simplistic but I struggled with it a lot more than I should admit.Β Big props to my friend for helping me decide on what to do with it.

I only now realized that they redesigned her. Or more precisely, gave her a haircut. Took me long enough.

While I haven't watched up to season 6 yet, I have seen her new design.
I'm not a super fan of it.Β After I finished this image I saw her new look and it kinda killed my love for her design a bit.
It also has caused me a bit of debate as I want to turn her into a button, but, do I do the MAKE ALL EQUAL version?Β Or the new hairdo version?
I could do both but I'd much rather just do the most modern rendition if possible.

Don't worry about it, it's healthy to vent. Allow me:
I did find her new mane to be a little too similar to already existing designs like Rarity's or Trixie's. But at the same time I thought the old design made her look kinda old (in the beginning I thought she was around the same age as Twilight's parents!) and changing it does make sense from a story perspective.
So all in all, I don't mind it. I think either version would work as a button, which one would just be a matter of artistic choice.
