Description Ok, what do we have here now? A new Dragon in Enroth, this one actually being passive and willing to talk to you, being found near the border between Blackshire and Free Haven?

Actually no.
Really, I`m not kidding, this is not the new Dragon that is being inspired by Might and Magic VI`s dragons that were fated to die in the Reckoning.
This is Free Dragon himself!
At least how would he looked like if he would grow up on the continent and would not be saved from the Reckoning of his home planet (Enroth) by Lt-Colonel-Sharpy `s Sharp Shooter when he was still a younger dragon ... and would not participate in events like liberating the oppressed dragons from the hard clutches of Nazidragons and freeing the trapped souls from their mad attempts in harnessing the power of the dead. Even though the only differences between this "adult" version of Free and the canon adult version would be differently-colored wing membrane and the ability of him to use man-made weapons beside his natural fire and energy breath he got through both his parents and the tuteage of Longfang Witherhide before being ungraciously slain.

I was thinking that Free would be facing toward the adventurers when they first see him, but as they approach (if they had not fired a shot at him or any harmful magic at him, mind this, as then he would turn as hostile as any NPC villager would, but he is not a slack at fighting unlike them (no matter if he can be slain, as he has the same health pool as Red Dragon with magic resistances of Gold Dragon), fighting with energy blasts and fire blasts like other dragons), they would notice that he just flies around, being passive around them like a normal villager ... and being able to have a conversation with.
And once you start a conversation with, he would greet them and ask if they wish to do him a favor (having dialogue options for "Blackshire", "Werewolves" "Dragonsand", "Dragons" and "Quest") or, if your party had killed Longfang before meeting this dragon, to be sure that your adventurers will not cause him any harm in favor of the prize they would get if they would do him a favor first, asking them "Will you still harm me despite the rewards I`m having for you?" at the end and you having the chance to answer by either "yes" or "no". Answer "yes" and he would turn hostile, growling that all adventurers are the same and that they would pay for slaying his mentor. Answer "no" and he would proceed to ask the favor from your adventurers, the quest being the one you see on the image (with "them" he means Dragons only, thus no need to kill Villagers, Thunder Lizards and Wyrms as well). As a reward, he will allow you to keep the goods you get from your plundering and give you a hint to go to the rock that is closest to him, which name is capitalized (aka instead of "rock", it`s "Rock"). Once you press that rock, you`ll get a nice sum of gold and a random relic/artifact inside it.
Of course you can kill him after the quest, but note that he will respawn, together with the rest of the country once enough time passes and if you had killed him, he will say nothing to you the next time you try to talk to it (unless you had done his quest, in which case, he will have trivial things to say about "Blackshire", "Werewolves" "Dragonsand" and "Dragons" that can change between each conversation ), which means that if you decide to kill him before taking his quest or saying "yes" to his question, thus turning him hostile, you will lose your chance in getting the reward, never to return again until you play a new game
Just my ideas on how would this lovely character of mine work in the original graphics engine of Might and Magic VI

Free Dragon -> me
Dragonsand Dragons -> Might and Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven -> 3DO, New World Computing

Seems like we don't get to see dragons straight on like this very much - I like the angle! He looks quite fierce.

Thank you and indeed we don`t. I had to rely on actual game sprites in order to bring you this angle up, even if it still likes to mess with me, especially when concerning wings here~ ^-^; He actually has huge wings, but well, the angle :,D

Great free drawing there and that was a lot of good and interesting facts

Thank you! And well, apologies if I might started to drift back to my childhood when drawing the newest deviations, but hey, Might and Magic VI: The mandate of Heaven needs to get more fans after Might and Magic X: Legacy got shipped with it in Digital Deluxe Edition!
And yes, this is how Free would look like when he grows up, legitimately. Never mess with a Dragonsand Dragon that is banished as an "interbred kid", it will severely bite and fry your buttcheeks!

And ditto, especially not in this destined form that was bound to happen one way or another. I was thinking that Sharp Shooter and Len used one of the mysterious magical portals (that are really canon in Enroth, the populace escaped to another world through them when the Reckoning happened ) to see Free wandering around and through secrecy saved him when the incoming disaster was unavoidable while other dragons were doomed to perish as the planet was ripped apart.

And then, Sharpy and Len taught him how to fight.

Len taught him to slice and dice, while Sharps taught him to kick butts.XD

And both of them also taught him how to yield guns and pilot his own Stealth Bomber

Yep.

Does he pilot a B-2?
