Description
The one thing that bothered me as a kid, is they never say what kind of lizard this guy is. In recent incarnations they use an iguana or a basilisk as the inspiration, but then he winds up looking more like those types of lizards which are usually drastically different from his original design. Other versions make him look more dinosaur like. As much as I hated the Amazing Spider-man movie design, it was the most plausible. Not 100% lizard, but lizard-like with slight human qualities which is what I would expect him to look like. The version I came up with is based off the anole lizard species, which seems like the most "standard" lizard species that look the most like his original design. Plus those lizards are found all over Florida which is where Dr. Curt Connors is from and where he was when he performed his little experiment. He's the biologist turned beast, it's the Lizard!
