Honestly, I never heard of this guy until I saw the Batman: Assault on Arkham movie. Even then I didn't really see the big deal about him, I mean he's just a shark man. I think it wasn't until I saw his portrayal in the Harley Quinn animated series that I grew to love this character. I know that's not how the character is typically portrayed, but the idea of a vicious shark humanoid is actually a laid back tech geek is just really funny to me. I'm really excited to see how they portray him in the upcoming suicide squad movie. Based on the one picture we got of him, it seems like they are going the laid back route as well, probably kind of like Korg from Thor: Ragnarok. A soft spoken intimidating shark that goes into a berserker killer frenzy when he smells blood, knowing James Gunn that's probably what will happen. Either way I didn't want to make him just some shark guy and instead wanted to give him some Polynesian flare. Since he's Hawaiian originally, thought I'd give him some tattoos to match. He's the monstrous killing machine that's on top of the food chain, it's King Shark!
