I know, all villains and criminals and murderers start with lack of love or attention.
"Hurray, Scourge killed the most annoying, hated villain of the fandom at that time.
Firestar you suck for killing Scourge to save the entire Clans from bloodshed and death."

I certainly hope that this didn't happen: Hey, our fans are really loving this new villain. What about a manga about his past? Make sequels! Make him Firestar's kin! That will make him more DEVELOPED AND JUICY AND AWESOME!!!
I'm not even going to start on how much I despise AshXScourge because it's SUPPOSED to not make sense.
Laugh it off, slowly back away from that side of the fandom.
P.S. I love three day weekends.

Scourge was a character that didn't need more developing than he already had. Scourge being a psychopath, of which we knew nothing about was what made him such a great character. I remember my younger self finding out he was Firestar's kin, and then I went on to never go to the Warriors wiki again. I also remember hating Scourge for killing Tigerstar like that, and I still kind of do. I'm not saying Tigerstar shouldn't have died, but what every fan reading the books at that point wanted was a battle between Tigerstar and Firestar. As well as Scourge killing him with one hit being complete crap, and I find it so annoying that one of the most skilled fighters in the clans is killed with one blow. I don't hate Scourge, nor do I like him that much either. But like Warriors itself he became a victim of popularity and a fanbase that encouraged the writers to explain unneeded backstory and continue a book series that needs to end.
Sorry but Warriors has kinda gone a bit too far....

That side of his fandom is annoying, (seriously, making him social and loving and shipping him with Ashfur is dumb) but I don't hate Scourge because of that.

Thank you for this. I hate how people draw Scourge as this freaking, emo, bloodthirsty idiot monster, because that isn't what he is/was. He's a power-hungry cat who just had a desire for revenge (and no, I'm not defending his murderous choices, nothing can justify how much blood he spilled). Thank you...
