When you turn two stallions out together, one would expect to stick around and make sure no one tries to kill the other. Fair. That's to be expected. More often, a short dispute over who's top dog over who and they will get on fine so long as no mares are in the area. And sometimes you get what Abe and Shifty have. Absolute best buddies as far as it goes for horses. Two stallions that adore each other's company from day one. Zero aggression and all interest in play. First, by a nip here or a nudge there. A squeal and a stomp and the frolic would commence.
What you wouldn't expect is for one of them to become burdened with a foal. To make matters even more complicated. Twins. And while absolutely checking not once, twice, but three times with several sets of eyes that they are both, in fact, fully intact stallions… one may recall they are both Beaurevers. Beaurevers that, if given access to a certain Aphrodite's Wish, the possibility of a stallion carrying twin foals to term is a very real and very scientific anomaly.
Now, there are arguments amongst the staff of who might have “blessed” Abe with such a powerful potion, no doubt. Most eyes glanced, squinted, and glared at one Jarin Jackson - sounded like something stupid and that was usually his calling card. He wasn't what anyone would call a good liar if questioned. So he either was that dumb or chose that specific moment to get really good at lying because “maybe I fed him something weird by accident!?” was all they could get from him. Everyone else vehemently denies any accusation.
Nevertheless, two twin Beaurevers, yes, tested once more upon birth, and yes, 100% belong to one Shifty and one Abalone, were born to the world with their two daddies present. (Don't ask how. It's magic.) The two stallions brought in two buckskin colts, Monty and Riggy . Two lively and gleeful colts, healthy and ready to tackle life, knowing no difference not having a mare mommy. (Don't ask about nursing. It's magic.) For they had two stallion daddies that showed nothing but affection like a horse can show. Many romps, jumps, nips, bucks, rears, and snorts.
One such beautiful sunset caught them sharing turnout while the babies were still small and precious. The arena had been used for a series of lessons earlier in the day so some ground poles still lay scattered about. Staff paid no mind, let the horses walk around them, they would cause no harm.
The urge to frolic was almost immediate upon turnout. The babes followed suit, kicking up their heels and scampering alongside the studs. Abe had the moves to spin wildly and change direction on a dime while the babes skid and toppled over, hopping to their feet and quickly galloping to catch up again. Shifty made use of the scattered poles, leaping over a set of them. That intrigued the babes. What were these sticks that shouldn't be touched??? Fascinating. While Abe flaunted around on the rail, the babes started looking like popcorn popping over the poles, imitating Shifty's actions. Before long, they were sprinting at the poles to leap over them!
Abe snorted and joined in on the fun, wondering where the game of chase had gone. He followed Riggy aiming his frolic at his brother, Monty. Aha, the game of charge instead! Abe was familiar! He pronged along with peppy strides, seeing Shifty was playing along too! It was only until everyone sprang into the air at once, Abe realized- nope. Not doing these. Last time he went over a stick, he was nearly eaten alive by a walrus . Abe slid to an immediate halt, reared up, and squirted to the side, peacing tf out of there immediately. Not today, Satan. He didn't know where the walruses were hiding but he wasn't going to fuck with the sticks and find out.
But everyone else had fun <3

I think about you more than I'd be willing to admit because even though we both know I am the soft cry baby of the two of us, you know I gotta at least pretend to be the hardened crunchy type- ya know, protect my non-existent fragile manhood and all that. -but actually crying inwardly and outwardly- When the days get tough, I catch myself thinking “what if I had just never gotten on that train to go home” and it makes me smile to think about the shit we would have caused xD I'm proud of you and everything you're up to! Damn, I wish you good times, fam <3 mushy mush mush mush love and more mush
