An old picture that I slapped colors on.
I have a vague outline of it's origin and its place in my story. :3

Desert Wyrm, Sand Serpent
The dreaded Beast that Terrorizes the Caravans of Brynshre.

This is the monster that prevents many caravans from using the shortest trail to the Outer Cities. Brynshre, the city located on the Northwestern outskirts of the nation usually uses this trail. However, according to passing rumors from travelers, a person of unknown origin was seen at the desert on the day of the first attack. It is said that the cloaked person was a wizard or warlock from the southern deserts that brought this creature into this world.

This sand serpent has an amazingly long life span - and with the wizard/warlok's help, it is said to be immortal to eternally prey upon the haphazard traveller journeying over this expanse of sand. It dwells in the canyon of the Gleyn Fistr (a relatively large cliff that can be considered a plateau due to the narrow 'bridge' that connects it to the rest of the cliff. - kind of hard to explain... I might draw it out...)

No expedition in trying to kill it has succeeded. The bounty on its head reached a high - impossible number in hopes of relief from this terror. No one has attempted it in many years and many believe that the warlok has passed from this world - and with him the secrets to the beast's defeat.

To the dismay of many, there have been reports of more serpents - whether they are true (and if they are, what serpents they may be) are yet to be confirmed.
