Well, here's my version of the whole 'Yin Yang' thing a lot of people have been making with the whole Zutara pairing. Though I'm happy with the whole thing, I must say Zuko's oiece of the picture is the most dynamic. I think it's simply so because of his element, because fire is much more fierce than water. The blood on KataraΒ΄s hair symbolises her bloodbending, just to let the peeps know who were wondered why her hair was actually bleeding.
This picture is for my Zutara 100 theme list.
I want to know what you all think, please be honest with me, I really want to improve on my drawing skills ^^
Zuko, Katara or the other characters off Avatar: The Last Airbender don't belong to me, and never will.

I agree wiv the Yin and Yang and the Opposites Attract. But i think u cant b COMPLETLY the opposite bcuz than u wud hate each other (i am a zutara i'm not agreein wiv the kataangs.) I think u have to have SOME things in common. E.g Both Katara and Zuko lost their mother! They have some things in common even tho they are opposites

It's great to see you back! Awesome concept here--there's so much movement in it. The effect of the blood in the water is spot-on and creepy. I'd say that Zuko's lips look a bit feminine, more rounded than planar like a man's. Otherwise, I can't find a fault. Zuko's part is more dramatic, but Katara's has a serenity to it. Awesome!

You're right; the lower lip of Zuko looks too round and feminine by the light from the fire. Though I'm not going to change it, I still thank you for having such a great talent for picking out even the slightest of detail; it helps me a lot to focus on improving when I start with a new picture

This is beautiful. I love the idea-uniquness of it. The sparks of fire look amazing. Really life-like. The way it blends into water, esp the ball in the middle, is perfect combination. I like how Katara's head comes out from the water. It seems almost... natural. The yin/yang ness of it all is still there, though we may not notice it at first. I like how Zuko is in the middle of fire, though I think he can't be seen as well as I would have liked it. OVerall, love the pic.

I'm very proud myself on how the way the fire came out. I'm also very glad you find the water from Katara look natural because I still think something's amiss with Katara's part, don't know what though...

I think it's nice. I took a second look after I commented and saw Zuko's head just like Katara's. At first, I think I missed it because it's darker there where as the water isn't so much. I really love the blood on Katara's hair too. At first it makes me think of fire, which adds to that yin/yang thing.

I just put the pen pressure by default....(the way the tablet had it) and draw the pic all digitally...that's how I draw the lineart....and, uh...I never could use the pen tool....D':

Lovely job...this piece is a really nice twist on a very used idea. My favorite piece of this is Zuko...he just blends into his element so well! I like the bit with Katara's hair bleeding, an interesting tribute to the dark side of her bending powers! Very, very nice job!

I thank you very much for the lovely comment! The idea had been pestering my mind for quite some time, so I thought with the added freedom of two more days free from school I should work it out.
The bleeding was something I added in an afterthought, because she seemed to miss something because of her sorrowful look. I'm still thinking of changing Katara's part because I'm still not happy with how she turned out. Maybe later today...

I love it...there's really nothing to add, the concept is beautiful...I do agree that Zuko's picture is the best of the two portraits, but the whole piece is wonderful.

Yeah, I still think something's missing in Katara's part of the picture. Maybe I should thin out the lines some more and make her blend a little better with the water...
