The only critique I can come up with is that the blades look too wide where they meet the hilt. (I need to study art more, so I can give better critiques...) Anyways, I really like Zuko's expression. He looks all nervous and unsure about his new choice.

Pretty good. You evoke a great sense of place here; Zuko is really rooted by the hay and the sky, and it is a pretty pic. However, it feels to me like there's something off about the placement of the hands and the swords. After I looked at it for a while and stood that way I thought that it is anatomically correct, but it doesn't look natural. Maybe his head should be shown more from the front so that his body makes a clear, straight line down the front, or that the right hand is turned too much., or that it would make more sense for the swords to be pointed more forward (in which case you would not get that cool sheen off the right blade. Aw.) I could be wrong. I'm not going to get up and stand like that to see how it feels, because my friend who is sitting in this room with me would look at me funny. But think about it.
It seems from your journal that you've done more pictures than I can see in your gallery. They look good. Are they going to be posted here?

I thank you, this helps greatly. Now you begin about it, yes, the hand do seem slightly off. Its not the position of the blades (I did the stance before the picture was finished, it felt pretty much normal) but the tumb of his right hand, which is the left hand for us, is more the problem. His left sword (us right) should be slightly pointed more to the left, only a few degrease at least, then it should look more natural. I'll think about changing it later, if its still possible that is.
I deleted them a while ago, they began to irritate me for some reason... Lets just say..I wanted to make a new start on DA

Edit to excise contradiction and typo'ing: "After I looked at it for a while and thought about standing that way..."
Heh.

I'm no expert on backgrounds, but I must say that this one is very impressive. The clouds look great and I love the detail of the background fading out of focus in the distance. Consistent light source, good color choice - although perhaps washed out? On my monitor, things look really bright and the scene just lets my eyes wander. I'd probably make the sky a bit bolder, more vibrant.
As far as general composition goes, the open space on the right side draws my eyes right out of the image. And as for Zuko, the colors are good but his facial expression seems vacant.
Only being picky because you requested so! I think this would look really cool with a moody sunset in the back, all blacks and reds and hot pinks! ^^

Sorry, but I lost them; I can't find them anywhere on my pc. It's not hard to make grass brushes by the way, just look it up on how to make your own brushes, it isn't hard to make them ^^

Oh, wow, the background is awesome!
How on Earth do you get your clouds and grass to look that good?

Thanks, The clouds where a combination of soft brushing and the smudge tool. I did the grass by making brushes of my own, all the strokes to the right for wind effect. Then I used different yellows to make the depth.
I hope that made a little sense ^^:
